Rayong holds monthly cultural event

RAYONG, 8 July 2012 – The Rayong Culture Center, in cooperation with numerous agencies in the province of Rayong, including the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, and local people, is holding a cultural event in one of the province’s original communities under the name “Street of Culture: Yomjinda”.

The event will take place every Friday and Saturday at the start of each month. Available for purchase at the event will be locally-made products, food, and drinks. Activities that will take place include demonstrations of local wisdom, and art and cultural shows from youths and other citizens.

Mr. Dumri Karnkuankid, Director of the Rayong Culture Center, stated that the event is being held to promote tourism in the province of Rayong and increase revenue for its residents. It will also be a venue for citizens to present cultural shows and help to advance Thai culture.
