JANUARY DATE SET FOR THAILAND TOURISM FORUM

BANGKOK, THAILAND – Is Thailand still amazing, or has it lost step with the competition? A scorecard on the state of the nation’s hospitality industry will be presented at the upcoming 2nd Annual Thailand Tourism Forum on January 31st. Featured is a leadership summit with hotel executives Chanin Donavanik of Dusit International, Onyx Hospitality’s Peter Henley, Minor Hotel Group’s Dillip Rajakarier, and Clarence Tan of the InterContinental Hotels Group.

A series of key features include leading international experts presenting on hotel operating performance trends in the major and secondary Thai destinations, an update on hotel transaction in Thailand and a critical analysis of the country’s airports. While a special spotlight will focus on developing new Thai hotel brands which will include a panel of three emerging groups – Sukosol, Akaryn and Kasemkij.

Closing out the event will be a look forward to 2015 and the milestone AEC (ASEAN Economic Community) and what impact will this have on Thailand’s hotel and tourism map.

The event will take place at the InterContinental Hotel Bangkok and has been co-organized by AMCHAM Thailand in conjunction with STR Global, PATA, Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, Horwath HTL, Quo Global and C9 Hotelworks.
