Chonburi officials toured two large Sriracha companies to get updates on energy and technology.

Gov. Pakarathorn Thienchai led a delegation of administrators, military and district officials to Thai Oil Plc. and the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency Jan. 18.

At Thai Oil, the group was briefed on Thailand’s current energy situation and given background on the subsidiary of PTT Group. It produces and distributes petroleum products for most domestic markets. It has expanded investment to cover petrochemical products, basic oils, ethanol, and investment in electricity business through transportation of petroleum and petrochemical products by boat and pipelines.

At GISTDA the group met with Boonchub Bungthong, director of satellite operations, who explained the agency is a government organization focused on providing effective service and operation of geo-informatics serving, academic services and research and development in space for the country and people’s benefit.
