BANGKOK, 3 May 2011  – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has organized the second Lady Journey to promote tourism among working women who love travelling, focusing on four groups and eight directions across the country.

According to TAT Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Tourism Business Pensuda Priaram, the first Lady Journey held last year was very popular. This year the TAT hence targets working women aged from 25 to 50 years old with decision-making power and special lifestyles.

Tourism packages will be divided into four groups and eight directions; for example, the sport-loving- lady program will feature adventurous tour packages in Sukhothai and Kamphaengphet provinces, and Healthy-lady program will provide spa packages in Krabi and Ranong provinces.

Isan program will take tourists to provinces along the enchanted Mekong River, such as Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom and Mukdahan. Other programs will take tourists back to the nature in Prachuap Khiri Khan and Maehongson provinces.

The TAT will publish 5,000 guidebooks for distribution in each route, or 20,000 books in total for its 35 offices nationwide. The total budget for this project is seven million baht.
