Police attended a road traffic accident on June the 12th on Sukhumvit highway, where they found a damaged Mitsubishi pick up and about 20 meters away was a Honda motorcycle and the dead body of a woman aged between 20 and 25 years.

Witnesses said the woman was driving her motorbike in the wrong lane and that the speeding pick up didn’t have time to avoid her and had a head on crashed with the motorbike.

The driver of the pick up – as usual – fled the scene.

Witnesses said that there had been many accidents in this area and they believed that some spirits were haunting the stretch of road.

Motorbikes driving in the wrong lane are a common sight in Thailand and until the police start to clamp down on people disregarding the rules of the road – there will surely be a lot more unnecessary deaths.
