Trat opens one-stop service center for SMEs

TRAT – A one-stop service center has been launched in the eastern province of Trat to assist small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and support the development of a special economic zone. 

The Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) and the Damrongtham Center of Trat have jointly established a one-stop service center at the Provincial City Hall as a way to accommodate the arrival of the special economic zone. The main duty of the center is to provide local SME operators with access to services of both public and private organizations, along with important information, business advice, workshops and seminars, and help with paperwork.

Based on the records by OSMEP, there were totally 8,034 SME entrepreneurs in Trat in the past year. Most of them were in the retail, motorcycle repair, hotel and restaurant businesses.

Trat is the latest of seven areas where a one-stop service center has been set up. The other locations consist of Bangkok, Tak, Sa Kaeo, Songkhla, Mukdahan and Nong Khai.
