Those affected by fire at plastic beads warehouses in Chachoengsao receive assistance

CHACHOENGSAO, 03 September 2015 – after lodging complaints on September 1st, owners of over 2,200 homes affected by fire at plastic beads warehouses in Chachoengsao Province have received officials’ assistance.

Health officials were dispatched to the areas near the fire at a plastic beads warehouse owned by PVJ Plastic Co., Ltd. in Ban Pho District. The team consisted of officials from the provincial public health office, district administrative office, and Ban Pho Sub-district’s health promotion agency. They performed physical health inspection and handed gas mask to the affected residents.

The health inspection was swiftly organized shortly after the locals requested it on Tuesday. The fire was reported early on the morning of August 31st. Although the flames have been put out, toxic fumes are still lingering in nearby areas, posing threats on locals’ health.

The warehouse is part of the plastic recycling plant of PVJ Plastic Co., Ltd. It is situated on a 20-rai piece of land in Ban Pho District. The factory has had 2 fire incidents prior to this one.
