A hesitant thief took three, video-monitored visits to a Naklua gold shop before stealing a gold ring Wednesday.

Wantanee Supasaharangsi, owner of the gold shop located 50 meters from a Naklua Market police box, said a Thai man in his mid-30s came into her shop to look at a 10,000 baht necklace and left.  He then returned and inquired about a ring, then left again, claiming he had no money.

On his third visit, he again returned to try on the ring.  When the 75-year-old Wantanee got distracted, he ran out with the gold.

The thief’s face was captured three times by security cameras, so police had no trouble putting out a clear description of the thief and said they are confident he will be caught.
