BANGKOK, 20 March 2011 (NNT)-Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Thani Thongpakdi has denied that the United States troop had been pulled out from Japan while confirming another evacuation plan for Thai nationals in the quake hit nation should the situation exacerbate.

According to Mr. Thani, the U.S. has only evacuated its citizens living within the 80 kilometer radius of the nuclear reactors while Thai people followed Japan’s advice and remain 30 kilometers away from the radiation site.

He added that the Nuclear Society of Thailand and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have been continuously brainstorming for solutions and following the Japanese announcement on radiation levels to warn and help the Thai people. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also advised Thai people staying in Japan to leave the country for now until the situation improves.
