All Thai travelers safe after tour bus catches fire in Turkey

Ankara – The Embassy of Thailand in Ankara, Turkey has reported that all 33 Thai nationals were unharmed in a bus fire incident which took place on the night of April 12.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Busadee Santipitak, a tour bus with 33 Thai passengers on board caught fire while on the road in the district of Ayvaluk on Turkey’s western coast.

All passengers were safely removed from the bus when the driver stopped the vehicle because of flames coming out of the engine.

The bus was destined for Istanbul.

The spokeswoman said all the Thai nationals are scheduled to leave for Bangkok on April 17.
