NEW YORK, 13 March 2015 – Minister of Social Development and Human Security Pol. Gen. Adul Saengsingkaew met with Cambodian Minister of Women’s Affairs Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi during the 59th session of the Commission on the Status of Women Meeting at the UN headquarters in New York, the United State.

The discussion focused on Thai-Cambodian cooperation in the suppression of human trafficking, following an MoU on Anti-Human Trafficking and Victim Protection that the two countries signed last October.

The two ministers agreed to jointly set up a data system of people who cross the common border in order to prevent illegal migrants from Cambodia to cross into Thailand. So far illegal workers from Cambodia have led to the problem of human trafficking and illegal employments in Thailand.
