Singapore Supreme Commander visits Thailand

BANGKOK, July 23 –  Singapore’s Supreme Commander Air Marshal Ng Chee Meng met with National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) chief Gen Prayuth Chan O-cha to boost bilateral military cooperation between the two countries.

During the Singaporean commander’s official visit as guest of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, he will discuss bilateral cooperation between Thailand and Singapore, receive updates on the current Thai political situation, and boost the relationship between the two countries’ armed forces.

After the military junta took power on May 22, Singapore’s supreme commander was the second military head to officially visit Thailand to inspect firsthand the situation in the country. Myanmar Commander-in-Chief Min Aung Hlaing was the first to meet with the NCPO chief and deputy chief in early July.
