SEAMEO’s ex-chairmen confident in newly appointed successor in furthering regional education

PATTAYA, 7 May 2015 – Vietnamese Minister of Education and Training Prof. Dr. Pham Vu Luan, the SEAMEO’s former chairman is confident that the newly appointed Thai chairman will be able to pursue SEAMO missions effectively during his next two years in the position.

The Vietnamese minister expressed his confidence during the 48th SEAMEC Conference held in Pattaya.

According to him, SEAMEO (the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization) has firmly throughout the past fifty years joined hands with its member states discussing and brainstorming the best approaches to successful and advanced education in the Southeast Asian region. Enhancing efficiency of human resources has always been the main focus given the people are the roots of all developments. In parallel, SEAMEO has also been promoting inclusive education in all levels.
