BANGKOK, 3 Jan 2014, In an update on the formation of the Independent Reform Council, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra says the plan awaits feedback from the private sectors.

According to her, officials have been collecting feedback from the private sectors, and the process would take some time. Ms. Yingluck said the next step would be to select a panel to spearhead the council formation.

In order to avoid further rift and creating discontent, the government cannot act as a mediator, but can only offer a stage for all concerned parties to express their thoughts about the reform. The Office of the Prime Minister will facilitate the process to kick start the reform as soon as possible, added the Prime Minister.
