CHACHOENGSAO, 4 July 2014 – Military officers from the 11th Infantry Division along with police have conducted a raid on Chachoengsao Central Prison in a bid to prevent the spread of narcotics.
Security forces have conducted a prison shakedown in the province’s main prison at the order of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO). The move was done to contain the spread of narcotics within the prison. Police and soldiers have made body search on inmates and inspected several areas such as bedrooms and storage rooms to detect any possible narcotics.
In the search, they found several inhalants, cigarettes, tobacco, and cape wire. However, the authorities were unable to detect any presence of drugs as they performed drug tests on the inmates.
