BANGKOK, 21 April 2015 – Cable operators have called on the National Reform Council (NRC) to draft practical legislation on cable television that suits business operations in the industry.

The petition was delivered to Mr. Manich Suksomchitra, who is a member of the NRC committee on mass communication and telecommunication reform.

The petition argued that the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has passed broad regulations that are not relevant to cable television and hinder business operations.

Mr Manich said he would forward the petition to his committee for further consideration.
