Ministry of Interior improves service to align with NCPO policy

BANGKOK, 26 August 2014 – The Ministry of Interior is changing its services to align with the military junta’s policy. 

Mr. Vibul Sa-nguanpong, permanent secretary of Ministry of Interior, revealed that government sectors and state enterprises as well as provinces and amphurs have been ordered to launch a Damrong Dhama Center (complaint center) as soon as possible.

Furthermore a “Quick Win Initiative” principle will be applied to improve the service. So far, projects that are considered to be aligned with the principle include the E-Border Pass project initiated by Department of Provincial Administration, the PEA One Touch Service project run by by Pathum Thani Provincial Electricity Authority and the PEA Shop project which is operated by the Sa Kaeo Provincial Electricity Authority.

Mr. Vibul added that inspectors and departments under Ministry of Interior have been assigned to visit regional officers to give advice and encourage them to create, improve and develop projects that are useful for the public and also aligned with the military junta’s policy. An evaluation of the Damrongdhama Center in each province will be conducted after a period of time.
