MFA unveils mobile application promoting street food

BANGKOK, 5th April 2018 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has unveiled its mobile application promoting Thailand’s amazing street food in eight provinces of the Northeastern region.

According to the ministry, the agency is confident that the application will help Thais and foreigners find their next dinner delicacy when on the road.

The application brings together more than 100 locations and information concernung street food vendors in Khon Kaen, Ubon Ratchathani, Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram. Loei and Surin.

The ministry says the application offers several search methods, saying users can directly search for the name of a vendor, the type of food, or the nearest vendors available within a specific distance. The application also integrates a map to help users find their restaurants, along with a feedback system for users to leave a review and recommendations, and flag their favorites.

The application, which is available for both iOS and Android devices, displays information in Thai, English and Chinese. The app also has versions that promote street food in Bangkok Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Phuket.
