BANGKOK – The Thai Meteorological Department has predicted rainfalls and a drop in temperatures in many regions in the coming days while warning residents to take care of themselves.

According to an announcement by the Meteorological Department, over the next few days, westerly winds from Myanmar are expected to dominate the northern region of Thailand while the moderate high-pressure system in China will expand into the northeastern region and the South China Sea.

As a result, the upper part of Thailand will experience thundershowers and gusty winds in some areas on December 3rd and 4th. Afterwards, the weather will get colder by 3-5 degrees Celsius. Similar conditions will also occur in the Northeast and the Central Plains, including Bangkok and its vicinity, on December 4th and 5th before the temperature drops 2-4 degrees Celsius.

The Department encouraged residents in the aforementioned areas to watch out for potential dangers from the turbulent weather while keeping themselves healthy as the cold sets in.
