MAE HONG SON – Mae Hong Son’s Social Development and Human Security Office has held a meeting to discuss the improvement of physically-challenged people’s welfare.

The meeting, which is taking place on 7th and 8th May, aims to enable relevant bodies to work on the implementation of the handicapped well-being development plan from 2017 to 2021. Around 100 people, namely representatives of the handicapped networks, social work volunteers, and guardians of the disabled took part in the discussion.

The office has organized a number of activities to enhance the quality of life of the disabled and the underprivileged, including a special event for handicapped children, a free elderly care workshop and job training for those with physical limitations. The northern province has 14 facilities providing services to the physically challenged.
