IP Innovation and Technology Expo 2014 held in Bangkok


BANGKOK, July 18 — The IP Innovation and Technology Expo 2014 (IPITEx 2014) has been held in Thailand with the collaboration of several agencies and two Thai ministries.

Permanent-Secretary for Commerce Chutima Boonyaprapatsorn and Permanent-Secretary for Science and Technology Weerapong Paesuwan presided today at the opening ceremony of the IPITEx 2014, held for the first time in Thailand July 18-20 at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC).

IPITEx 2014 is aimed to showcase more than 100 research works, inventions, innovations, technologies and other intellectual propertys to accelerate commercialisation of Thailand’s innovation as part of the preparation for the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015.

Besides exhibitions, entrepreneurs are also invited to participate in the business-matching programme to present and sell business ideas and products to potential investors, increase their competitiveness and promote commercial investment through innovative value-added products and services.
