HM the King tells the new government to uphold their pledges and act as good models for the society

BANGKOK, 10 August 2011  – His Majesty the King today granted an audience to the new government led by Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra at Siriraj Hospital, for members to take an oath of allegiance before performing their duties. 

On this occasion, His Majesty asked them to uphold their pledges of performing their duties with honesty. He added that the tasks of the country were of great importance. As senior administrators, they should act as good models for everyone in the country.

His Majesty pointed out that fulfilling their duties and obligations, the ministers would be satisfied for having contributed to the country, and their success would mean a lot for all sectors in the nation. Thailand is well placed to be successful and peaceful in the much troubled world today, His Majesty concluded.
