BANGKOK, 26 August 2015 – People continue to flock to the Hindu shrine at the Ratchaprasong intersection amid tight security.

The number of the Hindu shrine visitors has only slightly declined since the bomb blast last Monday. Those visiting the shrine include Thais and foreigners, especially Chinese tourists.

A Thai visitor said he was not scared, believing the incident could not happen at the same venue twice. He is urging everyone to have confidence in the ability of the security-related officials.

Vendors selling religious shrine offerings have not been affected by the explosion and have gone back to the intersection to make a living as usual.

The shrine has since the tragic event been protected round the clock by police from Khlongton, Lumpini and Thonglor Police Stations.
