Under the supervision of Superintendent Pol. Col. Nanthawut Suwanla-ong, police and volunteers have not had much chance to enjoy Songkran as they have been manning check points to monitor road accidents and crimes. At a check point Chaimongkol Temple in south Pattaya, the officers stopped over 30 cars and motorbike drivers and found 19 of them had the exceeded amount of alcohol in their blood. 10 were Thai men, 4 were Thai ladies, and 10 others were foreigners
They were sent to the station for profiling and to await prosecution.
