Deputy PM Tanasak inspects Bike For Dad route

BANGKOK – Deputy Prime Minister General Tanasak Patimapragorn; Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Suwaphan Tanyuvardhana, and the Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office, Pol. Gen. Aek Angsananont, have been to inspect the Royal Plaza near Dusit Palace, to observe the readiness of the starting area of the “BIKE FOR DAD” event to be held on December 11th, 2015, along the streets of Bangkok. 

The official party went on to inspect the 29 km route of the biking event to celebrate the birthday anniversary of His Majesty the King.

Deputy PM Tanasak disclosed that all related sectors are enthusiastically cooperating in preparing for the “BIKE FOR DAD” event. The inspection showed that the event’s readiness is almost 100% complete, especially the number of Bangkok cyclists participating; the number has now reached 100,000, and more than 5,000 Thai people living in other countries are preparing to attend associated events held in their countries of residence. It indicates the simultaneous readiness of Thai citizens everywhere to show their gratitude to His Majesty the King.

He also pointed out that the further registration of Bangkok cyclists is not under consideration. Meanwhile, the committee is determined to provide good management for the existing thousands of registered cyclists and members of the public attending the associated exhibitions, by facilitating traffic flow, food and beverage points, and medical services.

In the course of further discussions concerning all the preparations, Deputy PM Tanasak and the committee members also visited Chulalongkorn University and Thonburi Palace.
