The Economic and Business Forecasting Center of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) has announced that the country’s CCI grew for the fourth consecutive month in March, standing at 76.8 which is the highest point since March 2015.

Factors contributing to the surge were rising exports and higher tourism spending, coupled with the increasing prices of rubber and palm oil, resulting in a higher demand for goods in cities and large rural centers.

As for the upcoming long holiday, the center predicted that approximately 127.7 billion baht will be in circulation during the Songkran festivities, representing a 2.53% rise year-on-year, the largest expansion in more than a decade.
