Constitution Drafting Committee to submit completed charter to NRC on August 22

BANGKOK, 10 July 2015 – The Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee (CDC) has affirmed that the CDC will be ready to submit the completed version of the new constitution to the National Reform Council (NRC) on August 22.

According to CDC Chairman and NRC member Borwonsak Uwanno, the NRC will then have 15 days after receiving the new charter to scrutinize its details and the vote whether to approve of the document will commence between September 5-7.

Mr Borwonsak revealed further that the new constitution consisted of 4 sections regarding reform, and 29 organic laws on reform are being drafted by a joint committee of the NRC and the CDC.
