BMA giving free vegetarian food to people at BTS station

BANGKOK, 28 September 2011 -Deputy Bangkok Governor Theerachon Manomaipiboon said the Office of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the BTS Group Holding Plc Co. Ltd were inviting people to eat vegetarian food during the Vegetarian Festival.

For this occasion, the BMA and the BTS group are encouraging Bangkok residents to refrain from eating any kind of meat and commit to basic precepts for merit. The BMA has organized several designated areas in Pathumwan, Ratchathewi and Samphanthawong districts for all participants.

In similar event, ‘Nu-Duan-Chuan-Kin-Jae’ 5th vegetarian food festival, free 1,500 vegetarian dishes will be handed out to interested individuals at the BTS National Stadium station until the end of this month from 11.00 to 17.00 hrs. Different dishes and deserts will be on the menu daily.
