BANGKOK , 19 March 2014  Pongkwan Lassus vice president of the Association of Siamese Architects (ASA), acting as deputy director of the Autumporn Monument project has announced that the ASA and the Yethaphanpwint Association (YTPP) are today (March 20th) presenting the Autumporn Monument project at the ASA Center, 5th floor Siam Discovery Center.

The YTPP had earlier scheduled an opening at Linzingon Cemetery, Amarapura city in Myanmar. However, the Myanmar government had stopped the project after they discovered that the area was important and might soon be registered as an archaeological site. Therefore, the Myanmar government wants to gather more information on the site first and will assign a committee to take care of the area. They also insist that they never knew about the historic nature of the site that has now caused the delay.
