AEC preparation project is launched in Chainat province

CHAINAT, 3 June 2014 – Chainat province, along with the Chainat Primary Education Service Area Office, is arranging an AEC preparation project to train people about the changes coming with the implementation of the AEC.

Today, the Chainat Primary Education Service Area Office is holding AEC preparation courses for the public and more than 400 attendees joined the training today. Sasithorn Wongmetha, director of Chainat Primary Education Service Area Office, said that this project, supported by Chainat province, is divided into 5 classes with 400 people per class.

The 2-day training aims to increase people’s abilities to get ahead in their careers so conversational English language is being taught. Amongst the attendees who came to the first class are youths and shop owners.

Chainat governor Suthipong Julcharoen added that certain Thais need to adapt themselves to increase their competitiveness as there are 550 million people among AEC member countries and speaking English is important as the AEC takes hold so local people need to improve.
