1st grade students in several areas receive tablet PC

BANGKOK, July 20 2012  – While first-grade pupils in many areas have received tablet computers, those in the eastern province of Kalasin will receive theirs on Monday as 6,000 computers are already delivered to the provincial Office of Primary Education. 

Those tablets will be checked before being handed to pupils on Monday. On the day of the distribution, there will also be a training session for both teachers and students regarding the tablet usage.

An official at the Kalasin Education Area Service 1 revealed that the tablets have a definite feature and clearly categorize teaching and multimedia in hopes for the students to easily understand the contents of each course.

Meanwhile, Kamphaeng Phet province will receive its first lot of around 5,000 tablets today, July 20 and the rest of the quota will be distributed later.
