Probe of Sunday's THAI aircraft accident begins

BANGKOK, Sept 11 – Investigation into Sunday's Thai Airways International aircraft incident at Suvarnabhumi Airport has begun but it was not speculated as to when the results would be disclosed, according to a senior aviation official.
BANGKOK, Sept 9 -- A Thai Airways International (THAI) aircraft arriving Bangkok from China skidded off the runway late Sunday night while landing at Suvarnabhumi airport, injuring 13 persons.
The Civil Aviation Department plans to spend three billion baht to construct and develop six Thailand airports nationwide to link transportation routes with other countries in ASEAN, according to Director-General Voradej Harnprasert.

PC Air operation licence suspended

BANGKOK, Oct 26 -- The Department of Civil Aviation has suspended the operation licence of PC Air until the private-owned airline clarified how its only plane was grounded leaving passengers stranded at South Korean airport.
BANGKOK, Oct 18 – Thailand’s Department of Civil Aviation today warned private low-cost airline PC Air to strictly observe aviation regulations after hundreds of Thai tourists were left stranded at South Korea’s Incheon airport earlier this week, according to the agency’s director general Voradej Harnprasert.
