21 graduate police-volunteer training

Pattaya Police are celebrating the first graduating class of police volunteers for 2014. Superintendent Col. Supachai Phuikaewkhum presided over the March 7 closing ceremony for training of volunteers to supplement the city’s overworked police force. The class saw the graduation of 21 police and traffic volunteers.
Emotions ran high as local riot officers involved in this month’s deadly police effort to reclaim Bangkok’s Phan Fah Bridge returned to Pattaya Police Station.

Banglamung police tried to get a jump on drunk drivers, setting up a highway checkpoint where Sukhumvit Road enters Chonburi. District Chief Sakchai Taengho opened the “Prevention and Reduction of Road Accidents Center” Dec. 27 with police Superintendent Col. Supachai Phuikaewkhum and other area politicians.
