Sunscreen market flourishing

The Sunscreen market is flourishing this Songkran Festival with a projected value of not less than 1.2 billion baht this year owing to climate volatility, according to Kasikorn Research Center (KResearch).

BANGKOK, 15 April 2011 (NNT) – The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has reported 2,141 road accidents with 148 fatalities during the first four days of the Songkran Festival. 
With the national Songkran festivities all but finished, expect an influx of tourists, both Thai and international, to “invade” Pattaya this weekend as we celebrate our version of Songkran April 18 in Naklua and April 19 here in Pattaya.

Chonburi celebrates Songkran April 9-15

Chonburi will officially celebrate the Thai New Year April 9-15 on the field in front of the Chonburi district office with a Songkran festival that mixes Buddhist worship with music and entertainment.
