Walk & Eat Naklua underway on weekends

The 7th “Walking Street” market opened in Naklua, encouraging high-season tourists to “Walk & Eat” in a retro atmosphere. Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome took the stage in front of Government Savings Bank to kick off the weekend market Nov. 20, joined by Chonburi and city officials.
The Quality House Group launched its Trust Residence condominium project last month with plans to build 660 affordable units in Naklua.

The traditional way of life for Naklua’s small fishermen is in danger of disappearing after large fishing companies moved into the area, pushing independent boats further offshore to less-fertile seas.
A supposedly “protected” marine preserve in Naklua is being damaged and polluted after Pattaya officials basically ignored it once signs against trespassing were posted.
The authorities are clamping on down on entertainment venues for illegal drugs and ones that are employing ladies under the age of 18.
