  BANGKOK, May 15 – Thailand and Laos will hold a joint cabinet retreat (JCR) this weekend to discuss bilateral cooperation including building two more bridges across the Mekong River, according to an official statement released on Tuesday.

MAE HONG SON, Aug 9 – Cracks and land subsidence on a mountainside in this mountainous province pose a threat to villages further down the slopes in Mae Hong Son while floodwaters continue moving south in some provinces.
