His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Mom Rajawongse Sirikit Kitayakara were married by Her Majesty Queen Sawang Vadhana, the paternal grandmother of His Majesty, at the Sra Pathum Palace in Bangkok on April 28, 1950.  This year they are celebrating their 63rd wedding anniversary.

10,000 inmates released under royal pardon

BANGKOK, Aug 16  - A first batch of 10,000 inmates have been  released from prisons nationwide as part of a royal pardon to celebrate this year’s birthdays of HM Queen Sirikit and HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn.
