Banks, offices will be closed This year, Makha Bucha Day (Buddhist All Saints Day) falls on Monday, February 25.  Government offices, banks and many businesses will be closed. It is also illegal to sell or distribute alcohol on important religious holidays in Thailand.  
Last weekend, parades filled the streets and local temples were filled with worshipers as Thailand celebrated two major Buddhist holidays, Asalaha Bucha Day and Khao Pansaa.
More than 1,000 Sattahip residents dug up the graves of Sawang Rojthummasathan graveyard internees without families to clean bones and prepare them for a Buddhist cremation ceremony.
Senior monks lead the Wien Thien ceremony at Wat Dhamsamakhee during Makha Bucha (Buddhist All Saints) Day, March 7.  Thousands upon thousands of faithful visited their local temples to make merit, offer tak bat and perform the Wien Thien ceremony.
