Thai Premier League Season 2012

Pattaya United climbed back up to sixth place in the Thai Premier League standings with a much needed home win over Wuachon United at the Nongprue Stadium last Saturday evening.

It wasn’t all plain sailing for the Dolphins however as they had to wait until just 9 minutes from time before club skipper Niweat Siriwong struck a 30-yard free kick that the Wuachon keeper somehow fumbled into the back of his own net for the only goal of the game.

Next up for Pattaya is the local derby against Chonburi on Wednesday, followed by a home fixture against Muangthong United on Sunday, June 3.  Both games should provide a good barometer of where Pattaya can expect to finish in the league this season.
