Sugar Ray Leonard to host charity events in Thailand

Boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard will come to Thailand for the first time in April this year.  He will be a special celebrity ambassador for a series of black tie and sport charity events, including grand gala dinners and golf tournaments in Bangkok and Pattaya.

The Sugar Ray Leonard charitable event tour, which will benefit the Mechai Viravaidya Foundation, is being organized by a Pattaya-based event promoter Legacy of Legends.

Sugar Ray Leonard, who is often touted as one of the greatest pound-for-pound boxers of all time and is well known for his charity work, says, “I am excited to be part of this charitable tour in Thailand, and to have the opportunity to visit the ‘Land of Smiles’ for the first time. I can’t wait!”

The tour will kick-off on Friday, April 5 with a Charity Grand Gala Dinner at the Royal Meridien Hotel in Bangkok.  On Saturday, April 6, Sugar Ray will attend a similar Gala event at the Centara Grand Mirage Hotel Pattaya.  Charity golf days will also take place on Tuesday, April 9 at Riverdale Golf Course in Bangkok and Wednesday, April at Burapha Golf Course in Pattaya.

Tickets for the Grand Gala 5 star dinner events will be sold at THB 3,600 baht each and will be available online at Thai Ticket Major from February 15.  For more information, go to website: www.legacyoflegends.org.
