The inaugural St. Andrews International School, Invitational Golf Tournament was held in May at Green Valley Golf Course.  There were just short of seventy students, teachers, parents and friends, out to enjoy the day of friendly golf.  The event’s main sponsor was The Holiday Inn Pattaya, who donated some amazing prizes and the organization of the event was brilliantly assisted by the professionals from the Green Valley Golf Centre.

The 2-man scramble format leant itself to all different styles of golfers (the good, the bad and the ugly) and proved to be loads of fun for all participants.  There were some amazing performances and many lasting memories.

After the golf, all the players enjoyed a social evening, with great food and even the odd karaoke performance to round off the evening.

Overall the event was heavily dominated by some very talented St Andrews’ students who managed to take both the net and gross prizes.  As a result the teachers have vowed to give them even more homework to cut down on their time to practice their golf!

The event will be repeated next academic year and anybody interested in joining in the fun should contact the St Andrews PE department.  The school would like to thank all who made this, such a great day.
