Ten groups of golfers took part in the Irish Wolfhound Charity 4-man scramble held at Eastern Star Golf Club on April 23.

Two local business men generously sponsored the tournament to the tune of 20,000 baht (10,000 each), with half going towards prizes and the remainder being set aside for the charity fundraiser.  After donations from players following the event a total of 34,000 baht was raised for the Baan Jing Jai Children’s Home and the organizers would like to say a big thanks to all who contributed and took part on the day.

The winning team was the quartet of M. Anderson, C. Voller, B. Bartram and A. Pilkington who returned a fine score of 59.5 to finish just half a shot up on the runner-up foursome of D. Blair, Toi Blair, A. Hancock and Ian Walsh on net 60, while the third team of J. Lay, R. Exley and M. Rock scored 60.5.

There were various technical prizes on offer including a prize of 30,000 baht for a hole in one and Oam Wilson was just a few inches from claiming the jackpot.

After the presentation, a free buffet was provided for all participants and thanks given to all who helped out, especially Cully Monks and Paddy Wilson.  The organizers hope to run more of these competitions in the future and info can be obtained from the Irish Wolfhound bar at the top of Soi 4, Pratumnak Hill.
