Nicha and Kamonwan get wild cards into 2015 PTT Thailand Open

Nicha Lertpitaksinchai and Kamonwan Buayam have been given wild cards into the singles qualifying of the US$250,000 PTT Thailand Open in Pattaya.  They will join fellow Thai stars Luksika Kumkhum and Tamarine Tanasugarn who are the main draw of the tournament, which will be held at the Dusit Thani Hotel from 08 – 15 February.

The qualifying rounds for the tournament, which is a 16 player draw, will be held on February 8-9, with matches on February 8 starting from 10.00 and from 15.00 on February 9.  Four players from the qualifying rounds will make it into the main draw.

For Kamonwan Buayam, one of the rising stars of Thai women’s tennis and currently ranked 515 in the world, it will be her first experience in a WTA tournament, whilst Nicha Lertpitaksinchai, whose current world ranking is 352, has featured regularly in the Pattaya event.

Should Nicha and Kamonwan make it through to the main draw they will have the opportunity to test their skills against some of the top Asian players such as Peng Shuai, Zarina Dyas, Kumuri Nara, Shuai Zhang as well as established stars like Daniela Hantuchova and Elena Vesnina.
