We played B & D courses and if you didn’t have a nice long drive straight down the middle, you were in serious trouble. There was a 7' wide path down the middle leading to the fairway. If you got on that path, lucky you, if you deviated from that path or didn’t make the fairway, you were in grass so deep we almost lost one of the caddies. Once in that grass you had to look down on your ball and just whack away at the grass.

Carts are not allowed on the fairway until 8 am. Greens were very fast and the bunkers were very sandy.
Returning to the Blue Moose Bar, cards were tallied and awards presented to deserving players. Rich Murphy again was at the top with 37 points, followed by Mark Campbell 35 points and Gary Crutchfield 33 points. Normally we only take a photo of the first and second place players but Gary cried that he’s never been in paper.
