The Champions Club returns to the home of Muaythai this weekend with a star studded open-air event at Pattaya’s Tipp Plaza Complex, near Mike Shopping Mall, on Saturday, January 8.

Following the official weigh-in on Friday evening on Walking Street, the next night will see seven international Muaythai superfights, an international 4-man Muaythai tournament and the WBC Muaythai super middleweight world championship bout between England’s Steve Wakeling and Thailand’s reigning world champion, Jaochalam, all taking place to provide an evening of world class sporting action for the fans.

Launched in 2007 in Bamberg, Germany, The Champions Club has since grown to become an important sports event for world class professional Muaythai and K1 rules superfights, providing a unique platform for champion stand-up fighters from any federation and from all over the world to compete against each other.

The Champions Club also supports the work done by the Pattaya Orphanage and to mark Thailand’s “Children’s Day” on January 8, a proportion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the charity.

Ticket prices range from 100 to 1,200 baht and can be obtained through the Thai ticket hotline + 66 (0) 89 2155 721 or for general enquiries email [email protected].  The doors open on fight night at 6 p.m. with the event starting at 8 p.m.
