Tuesday, Dec. 4, Mountain Shadow – Stableford
At the behest of one of the regulars, we paid a visit to Mountain Shadow for the second week running, to test ourselves against this challenging golf course off the blue tees. The course is currently in excellent condition, with the greens getting faster every visit, and again the conditions were perfect for golf.
Andy Galvin continued his recent run of good form, taking third place with a creditable 33 points, with Charlie Lapsley second with 37, a score that is usually enough to win on this course.
The round of the day, week, month and possibly year, went to Jon Batty, who, aided by a total of 23 putts for the round, and a one under gross back nine, carded a gross 75 for 42 points, equaling his best ever round in Thailand. His handicap then took the hammering it deserved, just in time for the IPGC club championship next week.
Jon Batty and Andy Galvin shared the ‘2’s.
1st Jon Batty (9) 42pts
2nd Charlie Lapsley (9) 37pts
3rd Andy Galvin (18) 33pts
