Ken and Brumi John share lawn bowls championship

Friday, March 30 saw the conclusion of the PSC lawn bowls from the Bowling Green singles league.  This league has been running for 11 weeks with over 20 participants fighting for the honour of a place on the rostrum.  There were 7 players that could win one of the 3 medals at stake on this last day.

Leading the way was Ken with 24 points, followed by Brumi John with 22 points and Bluemoon Brian on 20 points.  These were closely followed by Russell and Paul Avery on 19 points and Sandy and Claus on 17 points.

The draw paired the 2 frontrunners Ken and Brumi, playing against each other with Brumi John coming out on top.

In another match Russell got the better of Bluemoon Brian.

Ultimately at the end of the proceedings Ken and Brumi John shared the championship with 25 points each, closely followed by Russell with 23 points.

Well done to all that competed making it such a competitive league.

After the proceedings there was a presentation of the medals and prizes with our guest representing the Pattaya Sports Club, William Macey, doing the honours.  There was also an award to clubman of the season going to Sandy.
