Mondays outing to Bangpra was a low scoring affair with just 35 taking the win for Fergus Brennan. Two 33’s followed him from John Franklin and Richard Talbot with count-back the decider in John’s favour.
On Tuesday we went to Plutaluang and have not been there in some time. Andrew Rich managed to secure the win with 37 after count-back over Don McMillan. Jon Dean was third on 36 and Ian Smith fourth with 35
The top scoring player for the week was Daryl Ottoway on Thursday with his 40 and a Div 1 win at Phoenix, narrowly beating Noel Pittard by just one at 39. In third was Mod Chaviraksa just one more back 38.
Div 2 saw a win for Steve Smith with 33 and in turn just one up on Don McMillan in second spot. Third was Arnold Jones also with 32 but losing out on the count-back.
Saturday was a visit to Greenwood, giving Emerald a bypass now because of the work that is now taking place to the greens. The turnout was very low but Joe Kowalczyk secured a good win with 34 and second spot went to Richard Talbot at 29.
No exciting stories came my way and sorry there is no picture this week. I was just unable to catch up with any of the winners. They can sometimes be a very tricky bunch to pin down these golfers.
