Monday, July 7, Plutaluang – Stableford

We had a smallish field out today with the two divisional cut made at 10-17 and 18+.  We were playing the East and South courses and thirty-three points was enough to win both divisions.

Tony Bless topped the podium in division 1 and was followed in by Chris Voller in second on 32.  Gordon Everingham took the honours in division 2 while Curtis Hessler beat Pepo Frick 17/11 on the back nine for second spot after they both returned scores of 31.

Harry Vincenzi Chris Voller, Curtis Hessler and Harry Vincenzi all claimed near pin prizes.

Curtis Hessler also birdied the fourth on the South course record the only ‘2 of the day and take three rollovers in the division 2 pot.

Tuesday, July 8, Green Valley – Stableford

This was our first visit here for some considerable time and we had a good turnout of players with the cut coming at 7-16 and 18+ in the two divisions.

Grenville Hill, with 22 points on the back nine, was the winner in division 1 after beating Chris Voller on a count back, both with 38 points each.  Mikael Andersson, almost back in form, took third place with 37.

Two scores of 37 dominated the second division, with Joe Kubon just edging Iain Walsh 21/17 on a back nine count back.  Alan Bissell came in third with 35.

Near pins went to Mikael Andersson, Mike Chatt (2), Andy Mills, Bryan Rought and Iain Walsh (3).

In his last game with us for a while, the Sheffield boy Andy Mills birdied the eighth in division 1 to scoop three rollovers and in ‘2’s pot while Joe Kubon and Iain Walsh split the spoils in the second division.

Friday, July 11, Eastern Star – Stableford

Only one division out today but there were still 22 players in the field.  Mikael Andersson was the day’s winner with 42 points and Tom Novak claimed second on 36, while in third place Bill Bertram beat Eiichi Matsumoto 19/18 on the back nine as they both came in with 34 points each.
