Neoh Kean Boon, GM of Dusit Thani Pattaya, led staff and management in marking ‘Prince Abhakara Day’, known in Thai as ‘Wan Arpakorn’ which falls on 19 May of each year. The day marks the anniversary of the passing of H.R.H. Admiral Krom Luang Chumphon Khet Udomsak also known as Admiral Prince Abhakara Kiartivongse or Prince of Chumphon, the Father of Royal Thai Navy. A ceremony was held at the spirit house in the hotel compound and laying wreaths at his statue. Prince Arpakorn is highly regarded as the hotel’s patron protector and guardian.
